No Cell Phones

In HISD, our first priority is instruction. We are committed to supporting high-quality teaching and learning in every classroom. In alignment with the new state law, all student personal communication devices are prohibited on school property during the instructional day. HISD’s updated board policy and Code of Student Conduct reflect this law and are designed to ensure a safe and academically focused environment on all campuses.

What This Means Effective immediately:

● Students may not use or display cell phones, tablets, smartwatches, or any digital communication devices during the school day.

● Devices must be turned off and stored away in backpacks or lockers.

● There are no exceptions for instructional use or while on school property while school doors are open.
