Shared Decision-Making Committee (SDMC)

At Petersen Elementary, our Shared Decision-Making Committee (SDMC) plays a vital role in promoting collaboration among school stakeholders to improve student achievement and overall campus success. The SDMC is composed of campus administrators, teachers, support staff, parents, and community representatives who work together to review and provide input on important matters such as:

  • Campus improvement planning

  • Budget priorities

  • Staffing needs

  • Safety and school culture initiatives

  • Curriculum and instructional strategies

The SDMC meets regularly to discuss and make recommendations aligned with our campus goals, district policies, and the needs of our school community. We are committed to creating an inclusive and transparent environment where every voice is valued in the decision-making process.
